Seiðr - 18k Gold Vermeil
Double Sided Necklace
The crann bethadh tree of life is silhouetted against the full moon and a clear night sky in this handcrafted pendant.
The name Seiðr is an homage to the ancient Scandinavian shamanistic practice described in the 13th century Eddas of Norse and Icelandic mythology. This pendant honours the many generations of völvur, the seer women who had one foot in the other world and one foot in the living. The Viking influence on the Scottish highlands in particular integrated a lot of these beliefs into folk practices and kennings that still survived as recently as the last century.
You can opt to keep the back of your pendant blank, or you can add a single rune letter of your choosing.
Each piece of jewellery is individually handmade to order, and each piece will vary slightly, making this wearable art completely unique to you!
